New anaerob treatment of waste water of a sugar mill (Südzucker AG)

Retrofit of existing digester, Thickener and new anaerobic digester

The consortium of BHU Umwelttechnik and CNP built an anaerobic plant with upgrading of the thickener for the Bavarian sugar factory Plattling of Südzucker AG.

The anaerobic wastewater treatment for the treatment of beet wash water is designed for a capacity of 45 t / d COD. The plant converts 95% of the organic wastewater load into biogas.
